Brian's Platforming Adventure
A downloadable 2D Platformer for Windows
This is my first Unity game.
In it, you control Brian, a blue humanoid figure, while collecting yellow crystals and avoiding red enemy blobs.
Controls
Use the left and right arrow keys to move Brian, use the spacebar to jump, press and hold Shift while moving to sprint (make Brian move faster than usual), and press Escape to pause/unpause the game.
Trivia
- This game's main character, Brian, is named after my dad, and he is blue (along with the terrain and background objects, which also have a blue tint) because that is my dad's favorite color.
- You can hold the spacebar longer to make Brian jump higher than usual.
Changelog
- v1.0.0: Initial release!
- v1.1.0: Changed game icon and added background music (the song is "Summer" from bensound.com)
- v1.1.1: Fixed platform sizing because one of the later platforms in the level was previously notoriously difficult to reach, tweaked Brian's hitbox so that his feet actually appear to be touching the ground when looking at them up close, and made the pause menu show the number of the installed version of the game
- v1.2.0: Changed jump sound to the jump sound from the Scratch audio library
- v1.3.0: Added sprinting; this can be done by pressing and holding Shift while Brian is moving
- v1.3.1: Removed fullscreen, changed default window size, and fixed issue where window size would be retained after closing
- v1.4.0: Improved atmosphere by recoloring the tiles: the top ground tiles and plant decorations are green, the midground tiles are brown, and the floating platform tiles are yellow; and made Brian automatically turn right when respawning
- v1.4.1: Removed hillside tile from the end of the level, and officially released online version, which is playable at brians-platforming-adventure.netlify.app

Download the installer's .exe file (it should be called "Brians_Platforming_Adventure_Setup.exe"), and then run the installer to install Brian's Platforming Adventure onto your computer.
